Saturday Studio Art Class - A monthly creative experience in Wales

Saturday Studio is a morning art studio class that takes place every 3rd Saturday of each month.

Whether you are picking up a paintbrush for the very first time, or returning to a creative practice after a long break, this monthly class offers a supportive community environment to explore and grow. Together, we focus on the therapeutic process of experimenting with materials, quietening the inner critic, and finding joy in the making. It is a mindful exploration into uncovering your creativity in a painted journal or on paper, using different materials.

Quick FAQs – Saturday Morning Creative Studio

Do I need art experience?
No! All levels are welcome. The session is about exploration, experimentation, and wellbeing.

Will there be formal teaching?
This is lightly facilitated, and not a step-by-step class. You’ll get a creative prompt and gentle guidance, but the focus is on your own process and discoveries.

Can I join just one session?
Yes – sessions are stand-alone. Many come regularly to build a creative routine and enjoy the group energy.

Do I need to bring materials?
You can bring your favourites, but supplies are provided. I recommend an A5 Journal/sketchbook with 170gsm paper - Winsor & Newton in The Range are good.

What if I want more structured skill-building?
A comprehensive course with guided progression and technique development will be offered later in the year. email:hello@marioncheung.com to be added to the waitlist!
