Contemporary Fine Artist and Creative Facilitator in Arts in Health

Hello, Croeso - welcome. I’m glad that you’re here.

I’m a Wales-based artist working across contemporary painting, creative facilitation, and reflective writing. This is a space shaped by studio practice, lived experience, and a belief in creativity as a meaningful way of engaging with the world.

If you’ve found your way here, you may already sense that creativity is a way of paying attention and staying connected. This philosophy is backed by over 30 years of professional practice; I trained at Central Saint Martins and hold an MA (Distinction) from the University of South Wales, where I currently teach on the Masters Arts in Health course.

My paintings are held in public and private collections, including the National Contemporary Art Gallery for Wales (Celf ar y Cyd) and the USW City Campus.

Art practice, creativity, and change

My art practice runs alongside my work teaching and facilitating creativity; one cannot exist without the other.

I paint, teach, and write from direct experience, and what I share with others grows out of my own studio practice.

I’m particularly interested in working with people who carry a quiet belief that they are “not creative”, and in creating spaces where old habits can be questioned and softened.

Creating art is life-changing - not because it fixes everything, but because it helps us slow down, listen more carefully, and reconnect with ourselves and with others. Working creatively, especially in community, really matters - I am also part of an artist collective - Das Clarks.

Paintings, courses, and mentoring

This website brings together my contemporary paintings, creative courses, and mentoring.

All of this work is rooted in the belief that creativity is both a skill and a practice - one that can support personal growth, wellbeing, and change.

Whilst my painting process is intuitive, it is rooted in drawing skills and a clear framework.

You’re invited to explore the studio, learn about my Arts in Health and teaching work, or engage with the writing - beginning wherever feels most alive to you.
