About
Marion Cheung is a fine artist whose mixed-media practice explores memory, belonging and transformation through painting, collage and socially engaged work. Combining material experimentation with reflection on emotional and social landscapes, she investigates how creative processes can nurture empathy, resilience and connection.
Marion studied Fine Art Printmaking at Central Saint Martins and completed an MA in Arts, Health and Wellbeing at the University of South Wales, where she now lectures. Her practice bridges studio and community contexts, informed by an inclusive, trauma-aware approach to engagement.
Since 2022, Marion has collaborated with Das Clarks on Creative Roots, an Arts Council Wales project and partnership with HMP Parc, CAVDAS and Cardiff and Vale University Health Board - supporting wellbeing and self-expression within prison, recovery programmes and probation services. Across both her independent and participatory work, she is interested in how art can hold stories, foster dialogue and open space for renewal.
